This website is operated by Kirsty Askew, trading as Coaching With Kirsty ("I", "me", "my"). I am the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. If you have any questions, you can reach me at hello@withkirsty.com.
What personal data I collect
I only collect personal data that you give me directly. Depending on how you get in touch or work with me, this may include:
- Your name and email address, when you contact me or book an intro call or session
- Any information you choose to share by email, on a call, or during a session, including notes I may take to help me support you (for example, goals, context, or reflections you've shared)
- Basic payment details if you book a paid session or package. I currently take payment by bank transfer, so I see the name and account details shown on my bank statement. I do not handle card details
The contact form on this website is provided by Tally, a Belgium-based form service that stores form data in Europe. It passes your name, email address, and message to me so I can reply. This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies or tracking. The Tally form may set minimal functional cookies needed to make the form work. The only other automatic data exchange is with Google Fonts (see "Third parties" below).
How I use your data
I use your personal data to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange calls or sessions
- Deliver coaching services to you, including keeping session notes so I can support you effectively between and across sessions
- Handle payment and keep basic business records, where applicable
- Meet legal or accounting obligations
My legal basis for this is that processing is necessary to take steps you've requested before entering a coaching arrangement, to perform that arrangement once agreed, and, in some cases, my legitimate interest in running a small coaching business responsibly.
How long I keep it
I keep enquiry and client data for as long as we're working together, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you return, and to meet any legal, tax, or insurance obligations. I don't keep personal data for longer than I need it, and I'll delete or anonymise it when it's no longer required.
Who I share it with
I don't sell or rent your personal data. I may share limited information with:
- Proton Drive, an end-to-end encrypted storage provider based in Switzerland, where I keep session notes. Proton can't read their contents
- Tally, which provides the contact form on this site
- Email and calendar providers I use to run my business
- My business bank, which processes bank transfers when you pay for sessions
- Professional advisers (such as an accountant), where necessary
- Regulators or authorities, where I'm required to by law
Third parties
This site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Loading a font makes a request to Google's servers, which may process your IP address as part of delivering that font.
The contact form is provided by Tally. When the form loads, your browser connects to Tally's servers, which may process your IP address. Tally is based in Belgium and stores form data in Europe. No advertising or tracking cookies are used on this site.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data I hold about you, and get a copy of it
- Ask me to correct inaccurate data
- Ask me to delete your data, where there's no good reason for me to keep it
- Ask me to restrict or object to certain processing
- Ask for your data in a portable format, where relevant
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@withkirsty.com. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy from time to time, for example if the way I run the site or business changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
